What we move

Air, land and sea — whichever gets it there

Nepal is landlocked, so every consignment leaves by air from Tribhuvan or overland toward an Indian port. Choosing well between them is the job, and it is what sixteen years of doing it buys you.

AIR CARGO

Air cargo has been our core business for 16 years and we have right away access to numerous airlines to destinations across the world.

FAQ

What customers ask before they hand over a parcel

Prices, prohibited items, customs and what happens when something goes wrong.

  • 1 What factors affect shipping costs?

Shipping costs are influenced by factors like distance, weight, cargo type, shipping mode, fuel prices, customs duties, and handling fees.

  • 2 What are the advantages of using intermodal transportation?

Intermodal transportation combines multiple modes (e.g., truck, rail, ship) for efficient and flexible cargo movement, optimizing cost and transit time.

  • 3 What's the significance of tracking and tracing shipments?

Tracking and tracing allow real-time monitoring of cargo's location and status, enhancing transparency, and enabling timely adjustments to logistics plans.

  • 4 What payment methods do you accept for your cargo services?

We offer various payment options to cater to your convenience, including eSewa, bank transfer, Khalti, and Cash on Hand.

  • 5 How is the price of my shipment worked out?

Air freight is charged on whichever is greater: the actual weight, or the volumetric weight, which is length x width x height in centimetres divided by 5000. A light but bulky box is therefore charged on its size, not its weight. Destination, service level, customs duties and handling make up the rest. Send us the dimensions and weight and we will quote the total, not a range.

  • 6 Why is my box charged for more than it weighs?

Because aircraft run out of space before they run out of lift. If your carton measures 60 x 40 x 40 cm, its volumetric weight is 19.2 kg even if it weighs 8 kg on the scale, and the higher figure is what airlines charge. Packing the same goods into a smaller box genuinely reduces the price, and we will repack for you where it helps.

  • 7 How long will it take to arrive?

By air, typically two to three days to Dubai, three to four to Singapore, three to five to Europe and four to six to North America, counted from collection to first delivery attempt. Overland to an Indian port and onward by sea is six to nine days to Kolkata plus the sailing. Customs holds are not included, because no forwarder can promise those.

  • 8 What can I not send?

Lithium batteries loose in a parcel, aerosols, flammable liquids, currency and anything requiring a licence Nepal does not issue. Antiques and religious artefacts need a clearance certificate from the Department of Archaeology before they can leave the country. Tell us what is inside before you pack and we will say plainly whether it can fly.

  • 9 Do you handle the customs paperwork?

Yes, and our own staff lodge it at the Tribhuvan cargo complex rather than a subcontractor. That covers the export declaration, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and any commodity permit. Import duties at the destination are payable by the receiver and are set by their country, not by us.

  • 10 Which carrier will actually carry my parcel?

Whichever of DHL Express, FedEx, UPS, Aramex, DPD, GLS, SkyNet or EMS reaches your destination soonest for the price. We are an appointed agent for all of them, so we route on the deadline rather than on a single contract, and you pay agent rates rather than counter rates.

  • 11 I have two tracking numbers. Which one do I use?

Ours, always. We give you a number beginning EIE at booking and it never changes. When the carrier issues theirs we link the two, and from then on our number forwards you to their live scan data. Both numbers work on our site, but ours is the one to keep.

  • 12 Why does the carrier's website say my number is not found?

A carrier issues a number when the booking is created but records nothing against it until their first hub scan, which can be several hours later. In that window our own timeline is ahead of theirs: it already shows collection, customs clearance and departure from Kathmandu.

  • 13 Can you collect from my hotel or office?

Yes, anywhere in the Kathmandu valley, and same day if booked before noon. Trekkers commonly leave gear with us on the way to the airport and have it sent home; we will pack it to airline standard before it flies.

  • 14 Is my shipment insured?

Standard carrier liability is limited and is based on weight, not on what the contents are worth. If you are sending anything of real value, ask us for transit insurance when you book and declare the value honestly on the invoice -- an under-declared parcel is not covered for what it was actually worth.

  • 15 How can I pay?

eSewa, Khalti, bank transfer or cash at our office in Nayabazar. Freight is payable at booking; any duties at the far end are settled by the receiver directly with the carrier.

  • 16 What happens if a parcel is delayed, lost or damaged?

Tell us and we open the claim with the carrier on your behalf, using the consignment note and photographs of the packing. Being an appointed agent means we are chasing it through an account manager rather than a public helpline, which is usually the difference between a week and a month.
